Environmental responsibility and commitment

Being a small company, it is easy to imagine that our activities, however small, have no impact on the places we visit but of course that is not true.

On the plus side, our workshops contribute to the economies of the rural communities. On the flip side, we burn fossil fuels in travelling to such places.

While we try to offer our guests a fulfilling experience we also take into account our environmental responsibility which is becoming more relevant in a rapidly changing world.

We are committed to running fotodayz according to environmental principles and are continually looking for new ways to improve our performance accordingly.

Some organisations say planting trees is one way of offsetting carbon emissions from car travel. Even if it isn't, trees are very important and by planting native species, ecological conditions are improved, which benefits a wide range of wildlife – including us.

I wanted to sponsor trees that have some use as soon as possible and have finally decided to
Sponsor Fruit Trees.

Sponsor Trees work with local tree planting organisations around desperate developing countries planting millions of trees every year.

Sponsor Trees donates trees to local families to help them generate a sustainable income from food, medicines and shelter. Trees allow vegetation and other growth to survive in harsh conditions by retaining water in the soil and sheltering direct sunlight etc. Trees can, if managed correctly provide a massive range of unexpected benefits and natural resources including medication which can be both used locally and sold throughout the world.

I will sponsor a Fruit Tree for every person who comes on a course.
