One Day Digital Landscape Course
fotodayz want to improve your photography
Level 1 days contain all the following but are weighted more towards the beginner DSLR user.
At the end of the day I want you to be happy with using manual exposure and the structure of your composition.
Level 2 days contain all the following but are weighted more towards an intermediate DSLR user.
There will be more of an emphasis on aspects of composition, metering, filters and use of light.
I guide you through the process of translating what catches your eye to making the final image and help you understand the technical aspects behind those decisions:
- How to adjust exposure to deal correctly with varying light conditions.
- How to use lead in features to create depth and add interest to a composition.
- How to use depth of field using aperture priority settings.
- How to adjust speed settings and use the shutter speed creatively.
- To book now call 07990 798 650
We believe that a photography workshop should be spent in the field - it really is the only way to truly improve your outdoors photography and to learn how to make the most of our unpredictable weather!
We only visit 2 or 3 venues to maximise learning time but they will be contrasting settings, providing an opportunity to explore various aspects of composition and creative tools such as depth of field, aperture and shutter settings.
Wherever possible we will spend a few hours in the afternoon taking an image from processing to print.
There will be a maximum of five people per course to ensure personal attention.
Although it is a fairly structured course I aim to maintain an informal feel. It is after all your time out in stunning countryside and I hope we will also have fun, enjoy making new friends and mucking in together.
Course notes are provided after the course via this website to enable you to consolidate your learning experience and you are always welcome to contact me via email or phone for further advice for up to 6 months after your course.
If you don't have a tripod, I have some available.
Hot and cold refreshments are provided throughout the day.
Cost: £115 per person - maximum 5 people
Deposit: £50 with balance to be paid before the course.
Cost does not include: insurance, transport or lunch.
Fitness level: Nothing too strenuous. You may be paddling in a stream or walking on moors. Come prepared for English weather.
Equipment needed: Digital DSLR camera, tripod, walking boots or wellies & waterproof clothing are advisable, packed lunch.
